[ Following the execution (which sure is a thing that happened!!), Yagen decides to search for Izuminokami. So, wherever he is outside at the time, the tantou will eventually appear a good amount of distance from him so he doesn't startle.
He is small and can be good at quiet, and yes they are swords but surprising can still happen.
...Also he is not like Tsurumaru. ]
We should take the time to talk, while the others are also getting their bearings.
[ bless yagen for keeping that in mind. an ill-timed surprise can easily lead to someone's death.
but yes. izuminokami has taken to exploring their newly expanded confines, as well, but he nods at yagen's words, tearing his eyes away from (throws dart) the arcade to face the tantou instead. ]
I agree. A lot has happened this week. So where would you have us start - with those questions we still have to ask?
[ Yagen considers his own words carefully, looking thoughtful. ]
Yes.
We're going to be discussing these things in a group again soon enough, but it doesn't hurt to go over some possible ones beforehand.
For example, she hasn't revealed her purpose for all of this. She refused to answer Sigma properly, so we can potentially structure one or two of our questions around that, as I don't believe it'll involve 'ruining the Main Game' in some way. Or direct questions about how she managed to bring us here...all in a yes/no manner.
Mm, if we coordinate we could narrow it down like that. I'd consider asking if completing just two rounds of the Main Game will really be enough to free us, though that might come too close to breaking her rule.
Everyone will need to work together to get a real answer from her that way, and be very clear about who is asking what so nothing goes to waste. That is assuming we trust the people here, as well.
[ He's about to say something, opening his mouth for a bit at the last part, before then closing it, and just blinks, clearly caught off guard. But, he'll address still an important part of the topic. ]
We do know that the two of us have the perk, so at the least we can be certain that we will both stick to something that isn't wasteful.
[ Beat. ]
Caesar is a very straightforward man, almost to his detriment. [ ... ] I assume he told you, then?
You've no need to worry unnecessarily. It's more of a contingency, if anything. It's really not something I plan on having to make him follow through.
[ Though he'd rather Caesar have kept it to himself. His own hand lightly touches the strange device around his neck, before letting his hand drop back to his side, gaze back on Izuminokami. ]
Seeing as there is also no rule against it, I will also let you know if I have a Role next time around.
I have no desire to allow myself to meet such a fate.
[ He would be disappointing Aruji...and Izuminokami, who is trapped here with him. Maybe he should have let him known in the first place, in retrospect instead of making him worry. ]
Most likely. Though, as long as we prove ourselves useful again it should serve as a deterrent.
[ Unless one of them gets chosen as a Sage...he hasn't forgotten what people have said about that being "safe" vote. ]
So we put these questions of ours to good use, and perform whatever other tasks they put forth for us this week and see what comes of it.
Though I'll say this now - if I am assigned as the Sacrifice, I will not make any attempts to be voted for. As much as I would like to survive, I won't put the lives of the entire group at risk to save my own.
Right. There's no reason for us to deviate from doing them now.
[ At least from his point of view.
There's a small pause when Izuminokami states that he won't make any attempts to be voted for, and he decides that the only thing he can do is respect that decision. ]
I had a feeling you wouldn't. It'd be odd to see you prioritize yourself above everyone else.
But if that doesn't end up being the case, I do expect you to do your best to survive, and try not to do anything risky like vote for yourself or get on the chopping block.

Good to hear. Aruji would be quite upset to lose you, and the last thing I want is to see you break.
And I'll do the same - though it seems more likely we'll both end up as "commoners" again. That will still make us both vulnerable for the final vote.
